Our Story
You can't help but notice a red hat. A long time favorite of sports teams and universities alike, but that changed in 2016 when a new red hat debuted.
When friends and product specialists, Sara Stein and Barbara Hobart saw those red hats, they felt pangs of anxiety—as the hat represented a departure from the democracy they loved. Now in 2024, they decided it was time to reclaim the red hat and reframe the narrative because red hats belong to everyone. That is how Red Hats for Change was founded.
But not everyone is ready to TAKE BACK THE RED HAT, but they still wants to be part of our movement. White Hats for Good gives back to the same important causes as our Red Hats we just reversed the the colors of the Red Hat.
Here’s our message:
America’s greatness lies in its diversity. We are a nation built by immigrants, united by shared values: the freedom to vote, the freedom to love, and the freedom to choose. These principles make us stronger, together.
Join us in redefining the Red Hat and sharing the ideas of what makes this country truly great.
Wear because you Care.
